The use of the Double Disc machine is a fast and economical way to extract blocks in granite quarries.
The machine moves on rails mounted on the quarry floor and makes 2 parallel cuts simultaneously.
The width of the two cuts can be adjusted to the following measurements: 1360-1900mm,
1950-2450mm, 2600-3100mm.
The small discs (2400 mm) are used first for the initial cut. Then the larger discs (3600/4200/4600/4800 mm). Cuts can continue until reaching a maximum depth of approximately half the diameter of the disc. Changing discs can be done using the lifting mechanism installed on the top of the machines.
The machine is equipped with 2 inverters, which allow the adjustment of the linear speed of the discs, depending on factors such as the hardness of the material. In this way, performance and efficiency are optimized.
